Princess Charlotte appears to be thrilled at the prospect of her impending second birthday in this new photo taken by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.
The photograph shows the pint-sized princess wearing a festive pale yellow cardigan with blue sheep and her hair adorned with a bow.
The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed with her daughter during their royal tour of Canada in October 2016.
"Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank everyone for all of the lovely messages they have received", they wrote in response to messages from royal fans.
The photo was taken in April by Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, to celebrate Charlotte's second birthday on May 2nd.

Antonia believes young parents may throw their little princess for a teddy bears' picnic or, given Charlotte's love for animals, a wildlife-themed party.
Even though her grandparents on her maternal side, Michael and Carole Middleton, have a party planning business of their own, celebrations for Charlotte's birthday on Tuesday are expected to be low-key, The Telegraph reports.
The young princess was last seen with her family as they attended a Christmas Day church service in Bucklebury, a village outside of London where Kate's family reside.
Unlike her brother, who hammed it up for his close up at the same age, Charlotte appears more reserved in front of the camera.
She's going to be a bridesmaid for her aunt, Pippa Middleton, at her May 20 wedding.
