"The victim was put in extreme danger when she was knocked into the road,"said Sergeant Mat Knowles, who is investigating the case".
The bus stopped and passengers tended to the woman following the incident on May 5 at about 7.40am. The jogger veers off course, charging into the woman and sending her flying into the path of a bus.
The 33-year-old woman miraculously avoided being run over by the oncoming vehicle by contorting her body as the bus swerved out of her way.
'We are quick to address the jogger in the CCTV about what happened that morning.
Thanks to the bus driver's quick thinking, he swerved and saved the woman from what would have been certain death. We would encourage him or any individual who remembers him to connect with us as quickly as time permits'.
About 15 minutes later the jogger came back along the same route. She said she attempted to speak tot he jogger but "he did not acknowledge her". "Luckily, she only received minor injuries from the incident, which could have been clearly worse".
The jogger has been described as a white man with brown eyes and short brown hair who is in his early to mid-30s - and officers are urging anyone who recognises him to get in touch.
