Cyberpunk 2077 Physical Card Game Announced

Created in collaboration with worldwide board game publisher CMON!, the game will take place deep within the dark alleyways and unsafe corners of Night City.

In the game, you'll take on the role of a Fixer.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Afterlife: The Card Game will be launched sometime in 2020 - hopefully around the same time as when the game releases. Turns out, Cyberpunk 2077 is actually a follow-up story to a really old tabletop roleplaying game from back in the 1980's. At the bottom of this news, you can see a snap of the packaging, depicting the male version of V. Cyberpunk 2077, the video game, will debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 16th 2020. 'Fixers are the databrokers and masterminds in Night City who recruit cyberpunks, equip them with gear, and send them out on missions.

Developer CD Projekt Red has just announced that it's releasing a standalone Cyberpunk 2077 card game next year.

You'll be able to build up a roster of mercenaries who, after gaining experience through missions, can pass on their wisdom to the next batch of recruits. "In this chrome-infused world, Street Cred is the only currency that matters".

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. In fact, the first set of rule and guide books are available right now, entitled the Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart Kit and functions as a starter set for all the tools and gameplay elements you'll need to understand to play the game.

Unlike Gwent however, Cyberpunk 2077 - Afterlife: The Card Game will have actual, physical cards. But nothing's free in Night City. "Using an innovative drafting mechanic and special dashboard, players must decide which cards they want to buy, and which to sacrifice for funds in order to purchase new ones".
