How to register for COVID-19 vaccination

As India witnesses a surge in coronavirus cases, it has made a decision to allow everyone above18years of age to get vaccinated from May 1.

While those aged18to 44 years will be eligible to receive vaccination on payment from any of the private COVID vaccination centres (CVCs), citizens below 45 years shall also be eligible to receive a jab from a government CVC in a state or Union Territory which decides to lower the minimum cut off age for eligibility. COVID-19 vaccine makers can supply 50 per cent of their stock to states and private hospitals. As of 7 AM, while registering for vaccination, it shows - Registration is open only for individuals with age 45 years or older (birth year 1976 or earlier).

"Registration for 18 plus to begin on, Aarogya Setu App & UMANG App at 4 PM on 28th April". The registration will be done with the help of mobile number.

Following the verification of your mobile number with OTP, register yourself with required details such as name, age, gender and photo ID.

Amidst a massive shortage of COVID-19 vaccines in India, the central government is opening up vaccination for all adults in the country from 1st May as part of the third phase of the vaccination drive.

The vaccination drive now includes two COVID-19 vaccines, namely Covaxin that has been developed by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech and Covishield that has been developed by the Oxford-AstraZeneca and is being manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII).
