Two people died and an estimated 20 to 25 people were injured in a shooting outside a banquet hall in South Florida, police said.

A white SUV pulled up to the location and three people got out with assault weapons and handguns and started firing into the crowd that was gathered for a concert at the venue, USA news channel CNN reported.

"The result is 20 to 25 victims with gunshot injury wounds, and two deceased on the scene".

Authorities believe the shooting was targeted.

"These are cold-blooded murderers that shot indiscriminately into a crowd, and we will seek justice", he said.

Angelica Green, of Miramar, told reporters her son and nephew, both 24, were arriving at the event when they became among those shot and wounded.

At least one of the wounded is in a critical condition, police said.

Officers say three people stepped out of a white SUV and began shooting into the crowd.

The police are asking for the public's help in bringing the shooters to justice.

It is the second shooting to come over Memorial Day weekend in Miami.
